A selection of their wedding photographs taken on Dartmoor, Devon.
Mike and Freya decided to get married at Freya’s local church - St Mary’s Belstone on Dartmoor in Devon. A quaint small parish church dating back to Norman times. There is a granite cross in the church yard dated between the 7th and 9th century AD indicating Christian worship in the area before the Norman Conquest.
Freya and the bridesmaids got ready at her family home and travelled to the church in style – in her own pony and trap, along the Devon country lanes. A dream Freya had held since childhood.
All the family photographs were taken on Dartmoor just as the low October sun was setting behind the hills. Giving wonderful atmosphere and unusual light to traditional group shots.
Some quiet photography time was spent in Belstone with the two of them enjoying each other’s company, before joining family and friends at Meldon, for the traditional wedding breakfast and celebrations.
