A selection of their wedding photographs taken at The Compleat Angler, Marlow.
Russell and Denise chose to have their “dual” wedding at the beautiful Compleat Angler Hotel, located on the banks of the River Thames in Marlow.
The River Thames and the cascading waters of Marlow Weir set the scene, whilst the history and heritage of the 400-year old hotel lend style and grandeur – a great location for amazing photography.
The wedding was attended by guests from both families. The service was in held in 2 parts - a traditional wedding ceremony and a Jewish ceremony performed by the rabbi. Two cups of wine were used in the wedding ceremony. The first cup accompanied the betrothal blessings, recited by the rabbi. After these had been recited, the couple drank from the cup.
(Wine, a symbol of joy in Jewish tradition, is associated with Kiddush, the sanctification prayer recited on Shabbat and festivals)
The ceremony was full of meaningful rituals, symbolising the beauty of the relationship of husband and wife, as well as their obligations to each other and to the Jewish people.
Following family and friends photographs in the courtyard – the couple headed to Marlow Weir, for some fun - with the sun shining across the water it made a perfect backdrop for beautifully crafted shots.
The Wedding Breakfast was served in the conservatory and was followed by excellent hilarious speeches.
In the evening, entertainment was provided by musicians – friends of both Russell and Denise.
